Upon landing at the airport, you can meet with our team representative at the terminal gate. He will take you to the hotel and let you know about the evening program. Later, you meet with other team members over the welcome dinner.

You will go on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. During the tour, you visit places like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, etc. In the later afternoon, you meet with your trek guide and prepare for the trip.

An early morning flight will take you to Lukla. From here, you begin trekking towards Phakding. The trail descends along a forested trail and takes you to Phakding village for a night stay.

From Phakding, you trek through lush pine forest. The trail then moves along Dudh Koshi River. Trekking through small villages, crossing several streams, you ascend on the steep path to reach Namche Bazar. This place welcomes you with a stunning view of Mt. Everest.

Today is a rest day at Namche Bazar. You will go on a short hike to the Syangboche Airstrip or Everest View Hotel. Leaving Namche Bazar, you trek and reach Phunki. From here, the trail passes through dense rhododendron forests and ascends to Tengboche village. This village houses the biggest and the oldest monastery of the Khumbu region, the Tengboche monastery. From the monastery, you can see striking views of snow-capped mountains like Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, etc.

From here, you climb along Khumbu Glacier moraine and reach Lobuche. Lobuche welcomes you with a captivating view of Pumori, Khumbutse, Lingtren, etc.

Today, you reach Everest Base Camp. From Lobuche, the trail passes by Indian army mountaineers' memorials. AScending on a rocky path, the trail goes through dunes, moraines, and streams before taking you to the base camp. You will spend some time on the base camp and descend to Gorak Shep for a night stay.

Wake up early in the morning and begin ascending towards Kala Patthar. The trail follows a steep and rugged path. From Kala Patthar, you get to see glorious sunrise and 360-degree views of Everest. After spending some time, you descend to Lobuche, following the same trail.

After having a warm breakfast, you begin walking on a steep trail then leads to the Island Peak Base Camp. Walking on the winding path below the southern flank of the moraine from the Lhotse Glacier, the trail continues along a streamside. Further, trekking through Imja and Lhotse glacier moraines, you reach the base camp.

It is a rest day at the base camp before pushing towards the summit of Island Peak. Today, you will go on a short hike that will help your body to acclimatize. Likewise, your team leader will give you basic climbing training and teach you proper uses of gears.

You begin moving towards the summit around midnight to reach on time. The trail ascends steeply and passes by boulder-strewn. Further, walking on narrow slopes, you reach a rocky gully. Further, climb the rock gully and several rock steps. Your team leader will fix the ropes as needed. Depending upon the season, you may or may not have to cross several crevasses. Upon reaching the summit, you get to see a surreal view. Later, you descend to base camp for night stay.

The trail will be mostly downhill walking today. You will be following the same path. Trekking through beautiful Sherpa villages, Orsho and Shomare, you reach Pangboche. You will visit the Pangboche monastery, where you can see the head of Yeti. Likewise, views of Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Kantega are amazing from this village.

Continue trekking through a forest of juniper & rhododendron, you will cross a river of Dudh Koshi River and pass by Dudh Koshi gorge. From Namche Bazar, the trail steeply descends through dense forests and small villages. You will cross many suspension bridges and streams on the way. From Phakding, the trail ascends and takes you to Lukla.

You will find internet access during the trek. In fact, after Ncell (Nepalese telecommunication company) established 3G mobile broadband on Gorak Shep at 5,200 meters, one can do live feeds from the base camp. However, do remember that the internet connection can get unstable due to fluctuating weather. You can also find WiFi service in almost every lodge, but you have to pay an extra charge to use it. Locals here use both solar power and hydropower electricity. You can charge your electric devices, but do know that you might have to pay extra bucks at some places to charge your devices. Carrying a solar charger and extra batteries are recommended.
