Everest Base Camp Cho La Pass Trek starts with an exciting flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. The trail then passes through dense forests, crossing many small villages and streams to take you Namche Bazar. From here, you gradually ascend towards Gokyo village through Phortse, Dole, and Machhermo villages. Further, the trail moves to Everest Base Camp crossing Cho La Pass and hike up to Kala Patthar. After Ncell (Nepalese telecommunication company) established 3G mobile broadband on Gorak Shep at 5,200 meters, one can do live feeds from the base camp. However, do remember that the internet connection gets unstable due to bad weather. You can also find WiFi service in almost every lodge, but you have to pay an extra charge for it. Locals here use both solar power and hydropower electricity. You can charge your electric devices, but do know that you might have to extra bucks at some places to charge.
