Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get greeted by one of our team delegates. He/she will take you to the hotel that we have already booked for you. You can rest and explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the late evening, you will join the welcome dinner organized by the company.

Today, you will get informed about the trail and region. The day begins early with a delicious breakfast and a warm cup of coffee. You go on a guided sightseeing tour, where you will visit ancient temples, shrines, palaces, and courtyards. Later, you will meet with your guide. The left day is dedicated to the preparation of the journey. You will arrange all the documents and gears along with the guide.

Leaving Phakding behind, we head towards Namche Bazar crossing several villages like Jorsale and Monjo, which is the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. From here, the trail goes through the national park that includes numerous small rivers, untamed streams, alpine woods, and dense forests. We will reach Namche Bazar from where superb views of Mt. Thamserku (6,623 m) and Kongde Ri Himal (5,115 m) can be seen.

Leaving Phakding behind, we will trek on a forested trail and reach Monjo. From here, the Sagarmatha National Park begins. Trekking through the national park, we reach Namche Bazar for the night stay.

Today is the first acclimatization day of our trek. We will spend our day exploring around the village and hiking to nearby areas for spectacular views. We can hike to Syangboche Airstrip or Everest View Hotel for a stunning view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and surrounding. We then return to Namche and visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery.

Leaving Namche Bazar behind, you head towards Gokyo Valley. The trail ascends to Khumjung Hill and then descends towards the Dudh Koshi river. From here, you walk on the northside and with a steep downhill walk, you reach Phortse Tenga.

After having a warm breakfast, you begin trekking towards Dole. It is going to be a short walking day today. Trekking through terraced fields and small villages, you reach Dole for a night stay.

The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and gradually ascends to Machhermo. You also pass by dense forests of rhododendron before reaching Machhermo village.

You wake up early and begin the day ascending towards Gokyo village. On the way, you pass by stunning lakes enjoying striking views of mountains like Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, etc.

Today, we wake up early in the morning and hike up to Gokyo Ri from where we will see the best view of the entire region. After soaking the beauty in our memory, we descend to Gokyo, have our breakfast, and begin trekking towards Thaknak. Most parts of the trail will include descending with a few ascents.

We begin our trek early today as we have to cross adventurous and challenging Cho La Pass (5,360 m). The trail will be moderately difficult, but once we are at the top of the pass, we will have spectacular views of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Thamserku, and many others. Further, we descend through a narrow snowy path and reach Dzongla for the night stay.

After having a warm breakfast, you begin ascending towards Gorakshep. On the way, you get to see numerous Himalayan mountains and stunning scenery. The trail includes many ascends and descends before taking you to Gorakshep.

Today, the trail will finally take us to the Everest Base Camp. After having a warm breakfast, we begin trekking gradually along with the view of Khumbu Glacier on our right side. We reach Gorakshep, which used to be the base camp of Everest back in the days. Further, we ascend upon a relatively rugged and snowy trail to reach Everest Base Camp. Upon reaching the base camp, we will get to witness the irresistible beauty of the region. Later, we will trek back to Gorak Shep for the night stay.

Today, we will wake up early in the morning and hike up to the Kala Patthar, which is a popular viewpoint. Upon reaching Kala Patthar, we get to see one of the best sunrises of our life along with outstanding views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), and several other mountains. Moreover, this viewpoint also presents the 360-degree panoramic views of Mt. Everest. After spending some time at Kala Patthar, we head back to Gorak Shep and continue descending towards Pheriche.

Walking on the Khumbu Glacier moraine, you slowly drop down to Chupki Lhara and pass by Lobuche village. Further, with a downhill walk through lovely settlement areas, you reach Dingboche.

From Dingboche, the trail ascends through small villages. You walk by a forested path and reach Pangboche village. Crossing a suspension bridge over the Imja river, you trek and reach Tengboche for night stay. Here, you will visit the oldest monastery of the Khumbu region, the Tengboche monastery. You will get to see captivating views of Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and Island Peak (6,189 m) from here.

Retracing the same path, you descend through dense forests. You will cross a bridge and small villages before reaching Namche Bazar. On the way, you get to see beautiful views of snow-capped mountains.

After having breakfast, you begin descending steeply and cross a suspension bridge. Further, the trail will pass by colorful prayer flags, chortens, mani walls, and small gompas. Trekking through lush forests of pine & rhododendron, small villages, and crossing various streams, you reach Lukla.

After having light breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu. During the flight, we get to see the last views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will head to our hotel and freshen up. Accommodation & Meals

You stay overnight in the lodge during Everest Base Camp Cho La Pass Trekking. The lodge here offers simple to luxury facilities. You can choose as per your budget. As the elevation will get higher, the services will also get limited. Rooms come with a double bed and a common washroom generally. 

Similarly, meals will be provided as per the menu of the lodge. Three meals a day are included in the package. You can get dishes like rice, veggies, curries, chapati, bread, egg, porridge, pudding, momo, pasta, sandwich, noodles, soup, etc. Tibetan, Nepali, Indian, and Continental cuisines are available most of the time.

Communication & Electricity

You will find internet access during the trek. After Ncell (Nepalese telecommunication company) established 3G mobile broadband on Gorak Shep at 5,200 meters, one can do live feeds from the base camp. However, do remember that the internet connection gets unstable due to bad weather. You can also find WiFi service in almost every lodge, but you have to pay an extra charge for it. Locals here use both solar power and hydropower electricity. You can charge your electric devices, but do know that you might have to extra bucks at some places to charge.
